2019 ASMA Undergraduate Case Study Competition
This year’s competition will be focused on the addition of a Major League Soccer (MLS) expansion franchise. It will require a team of three (3) or four (4) undergraduates to select a host community and complete a bid document (modified feasibility study). More detailed information is included on the case study guidelines and scenario document (linked above). Teams will have one (1) month to complete the paper portion of the competition with final submissions due on February 8th by 5pm CST. All completed submissions are due to Dr. Adam G. Panel of Expert Judges
Dr. Jordan R. Bass - University of Kansas
Dr. Bass is an Assistant Professor, Sport Management Program Director, and Associate Chair in the Department of Health, Sport, and Exercise Sciences at the University of Kansas. In addition to his academic roles, Dr. Bass also serves as the Vice President and Associate General Management of Kaw Velley FC in USL League 2.
Dr. Natalie L. Smith - East Tennessee State University (ETSU)
Dr. Smith is an Assistant Professor and the Sport Management Program Coordinator in the Department of Sport, Exercise, Recreation, and Kinesiology at ETSU. Dr. Smith also has previous experience working with the MLS league office.
Dr. Michael Odio - University of Cincinnati
Dr. Odio is an Assistant Professor of Sport Management in the School of Human Services at the University of Cincinnati. Dr. Odio’s research focuses on organization behavior and human resources.
